In the context of the Global Service Jam, ALTEC Research Division organises the Thessaloniki Service Innovation Jam:

What is the Global Service Jam?
On 24 February, 2012, people who are interested in service and using a design-based approach to problem solving and creativity will meet all over the globe. In a spirit of experimentation, co-operation and friendly competition, teams will have 48 hours to develop brand new services inspired by a shared theme. On Sunday at 3pm, they publish them to the world.

And what is the main idea of the Thessaloniki Service Innovation Jam?
We foster an open thematic policy. However, given the current financial situation in Greece we will put emphasis in mobilizing people and ideas towards "Revolutionising the Greek Public Sector Information and Service Infrastructure in the midst of the winter of our discontent".

As partner of the DIEGO project ( that aims to introduce the concept of inclusive e-Government to all parts of the Greek society, we shall aim to come up with totally new and innovative service concepts that will have the opportunity of being implemented as part of ALTEC's activities for exploitation of the project results.
